The Aqara Smart Lock U400 Kit is a UWB-powered deadbolt that unlocks automatically as you approach with an authorized iPhone or Apple Watch, completely hands-free with no tapping or codes required. UWB uses Time of Flight and Angle of Arrival measurements to detect your exact position, granting access only when approaching from the outside. As an Aliro-enabled lock, UWB support is designed to expand to additional ecosystems over time; Samsung Wallet Digital Home Key is also supported via SmartThings. Additional unlock methods include fingerprint (98.6% accuracy, 50 fingerprints), NFC, passcodes, remote app unlock, voice assistants, and mechanical keys. Built on Matter over Thread, it connects natively to Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, and Home Assistant without a separate hub. IP65-rated and BHMA-certified for outdoor durability. Rechargeable lithium battery lasts up to 6 months per charge with USB-C in-lock charging. A Thread-enabled Matter Controller is required for each ecosystem.
